Why is there no return for a refund option in Indian Online Apple Store?

So if you check my profile you will see that I had a M1 MBA which had a speaker tearing / crackling (not sure what to call it the speaker just sounds terrible at high volume). I did a restore and erase couple of times (to rule out software issues) and it was still there. The service in India for repair is terrible. I was told I will have to wait a month because the local authorized service is having issues with their system for Macs and cant accept new macs for service. Okay I have a better idea. I sold it for a loss of roughly 7500Rs here and bought a new one. Guess what same problem! So after being frustrated and out of 7500Rs and no Macbook I decided I will just return it for a refund. NO REFUNDS! Are you kidding me? They accepted my return and are sending a brand new unit (this will be the third one but I am willing to bet its going to have the same problem since I see forums full of this) but Apple not offering refunds is completely unacceptable. If you plan on buying anything from Apple India store I would suggest to go with Amazon instead since the refund policy is hilarious in 2021. If you can send me a replacement I don't understand how you cannot just take the thing back and give me a refund instead. I always thought Apple was about the customer but this no refund policy is completely anti-consumer.

I really love the M1 performance. This is some incredible stuff from Apple. But please fix your hardware and your consumer experience in India. The service here is horrible and now even your own online store is giving people a hard time.

First, you are not addressing Apple here. This is not Apple support; we are all other end users here and have no access to your "profile" or account information. You would need to contact Apple.

Sorry to hear about your experience, but there is nothing we, as other end users, can do. You need to deal with Apple and/or the third party store.

And, FWIW, Apple offers a 14 day return policy in the US. Of course, we would not know why the same is not offered elsewhere.
