Is it safe to place iPhone 12 (w/MagSafe) on top of closed laptop?

Hello,

Is it safe to place my iPhone 12 (with MagSafe) on top of my laptop (MacBook Air) when the laptop is closed? I ask because in the past, magnets were considered bad for laptops (especially bad for HDDs) and I have a habit of placing my iPhone on my laptop. Also, my iPhone and laptop are typically next to each other when I carry them around in my backpack. I previously had an iPhone 6s (without MagSafe) so this wasn't a concern. So, I'm just wondering if there are any precautions around placing MagSafe devices (such as the iPhone 12) around other electronics etc.
