Format a flash drive

Using my Mac computer, can I format a flash drive to autoplay when it is plugged into a TV's USB port?

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.10

Nope. All formatting does is wipe the drive, it does not install any autostart feature.

At best this would depend on whether the TV has a setting to allow autoplay from an attached USB device. You would have to check your TV's documentation.

Yes the TV is a smart tv and I have plugged and played other usb flash drives.
