Damaged files....move to bin

It has just cost me $250 for IT specialists to remove all my files....remove the “SUSPECT” Catalina OS and reinstall another downloaded Catalina OS. And reload all my files. Everything back to normal now....what has Apple to say about this. The techno’s said it was definitely the OS causing the error massages.

"The file can't be found." on booting... Everytime I start my MacBook Pro (intel chip), I get two error message. Both say "The file can't be found". This has been happening ever since I updated to big sur. I have to click on "OK" (twice) to make them go away. Neither does it tell you what file can't be found. I just updated to Ventura 13.1 and the problem remains. As does the control strip/touch bar issue. Is Apple going downhill...SMH.

Is it normal to have so many access denied errors due to sandbox for apple system processes? I just did a clean install Ventur and am getting a lot of access denied errors reported for system processes. The clean install involved reformatting the entire internal SSD by choosing the device, not the volumes and then installing from a bootable USB, although I didn't actually boot from the USB, I just did it while I was in Recovery after reformatting the disk - but used the USB files (which I had just created using the create bootable installer tool in the Ventura 13.1 app itself). Is this normal? The error rate is really fast, and at times the fault rate for various system processes is, as well. I'm concerned that either the Mac itself is a lemon, or Ventura is. I should point out that this is a MacBook Pro 14" 18,4 - the 10 cpu/24 gpu M1, with 64 gb memory and a 2 TB drive. I have had various problems - it's now been 48 hours since the install and the battery isn't using optimal charging yet, as it should be by now. I think it is turned on - at least system settings says it is, but cfprefsd is one of the process getting sandbox errors when trying to read my preferences and at least in the case of Allow Remote Access, I had to toggle the switch a couple of times before sshd actually ran. Changing the computer name also seemed to take a while to display correctly, I had to keep changing it back to my desired name because it would revert to the default name. I'm not sure if the Systems Setting is displaying the actual state of various options because of that. This is a MacBook Pro 18,4, with the 10 cpu/24 gpu M1, 64 gb memory and a 2 TB drive.

Errors while updating from 11.7.2 Big Sur to Ventura 13.1 or Monterey 12.1 macOS Big Sur Version 11.7.2 MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) 2.6 GHz 6-core Intel Core i7 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB I have been trying to complete the newest software update. I have not been updating regularly which I am assuming may be one of my problems. I tried to upgrade to macOS Ventura 13.1, which is what shows when I got to software update in system preferences. I get this error every time I attempt the upgrade. I have restarted, restarted in safe mode, as well as tried to reinstall the Mac OS from recovery mode. None of it works. Always the same result. I have used WiFi and ethernet. I've scoured this board to try and find a fix. When I am try it in recovery mode it gives me this status bar screen: But doesn't move from that. It stays "about 2 hours and 21 minutes remaining" for about 20 minutes and then it gives me this error: I tried to move from Big Sur to Monterey thinking that perhaps I needed to go from 11 to 12 before 13. This is the error I get when I try to upgrade to Monterey: “The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKDownloadError error 8.)" I'm not sure what is wrong and I would love any advice on how to fix this.
