Do Apple support daisy chain monitors using the MST DP 1.2 protocol?

I can get the monitors to mirror when daisy chained but they will not extend and System Prefs only show one external monitor, despite their being 2 external displays running (mirrored).

I'm on 2017 15" MBP.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

The Mac has never supported daisy-chaining large displays.

Put each on its own ThunderBolt port if you want them to work.
