Washed out colours on iPhone 7 Plus

I recently bought an iPhone 7 Plus second hand and the colours seem very washed out and the screen is slightly dimmer. Any suggestions?

Colour fading My iphone 12 (blue) ‘s colour is getting faded and it has just been 7 months. I have been very protective with my iphone . I have protected everything by toughens and transparent film (even the camera) except the side frame. And that’s where my blue aluminium frame’s colour is fading.

IPad Air Colour format Whilst test images on my iPad Air appear to be almost normal any images with colour, particularly photos, appear to be almost negative in format - colours are very washed out/blurred. Photos are the worst. There was no deterioration or damage prior. It just happened. can anyone advise how to fix this, other than to replace the screen or device? Thanks,

Since you've purchased a used iPhone, it's also quite possible the screen was replaced with an aftermarket screen before you purchased it. If that is the case, Apple won't touch a phone which has been tampered with. Updates, by the way, don't effect the colors on an iPhone screen.

I read on another question that this was an issue with the IOS 12 update but my phone is on iOS 14
