Health features Apple Watch in my country

Hi guys, i would like to buy an Apple Watch for the health features. But I now read that the ECG and saturation (and maybe other functions) are not available for my country (Curaçao).

How can I still use this on Curaçao? Is there a way to remove the geographic restriction? Without these health features, I don't want/need an Apple Watch. I can buy an Apple Watch online from the US, that is not the problem.

I don't think that Curaçao will ever give permission, because Curaçao is a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. All medicines and medical instruments come from the Netherlands, so we don't have an organization that can give permission for this.

There is no way for you to circumvent the restrictions.

And no one here would be able to tell you if there was. Their post would be removed almost immediately.

The functions are activated by a watchOS update and obviously, the one directed at your country won't include this.

If Watch is working correctly, I’d expect the locally-impermissible features of any Apple Watch from any source can and should and would be blocked.

If the features are blocked by regulations (and I’ve not checked applicable regulations in Curaçao), contact your representatives, and discuss with them.

It's not blocked by local regulations. Maybe Apple never asked Curaçao for permission (it's just a small country with 175.000 inhabitants)? Is there a way to ask Apple to contact my country?

There is no geographical workaround for these features,maybe the government in the Netherlands can help you if you contact their health department.
