Water Damage and I have apple care

Hi, My daughter has just accidentally dropped her iPad into water. It also has a crack on the screen! It’s about 2 months old. I put the Apple care package onto the device after owning it for 3 weeks, so I’m covered for accident damage. When I go to shop be it replaced or will they repair it? I don’t think any screens are available for it.

No, it can't be repaired (specifically for the liquid damage to internal components). It will be replaced.

There seem to be two parts to your question/statement.

  1. Water damage. Expect, at a minimum, to pay a fee even with your AppleCare+ as noted in Section 3.2 here. (This document applies in the U.S.) https://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/applecare/applecareplus/1020/101320_applecareplus_us.pdf
  2. Repair or replace screen? Apple chooses how to leave you with an iPad in working condition.
