MacBook Pro (2020)/WD my passport ultra - USB-C port issue

I have a MacBook Pro 2020 and a 4tb WD my passport ultra for Mac that is full.

Everything on my MacBook Pro is completely fine except for when I connect my passport into the bottom of the 2 usb-c ports, my MacBook Pro reads for too long and then pretty much freezes. I can connect it and then get about as far as typing in something in the finder search bar, but then it pretty much freezes. It does however work perfectly fine on the top usb-c port.

I don’t know if this is in fact a bottom port issue, or a passport issue.

I have other passports and there is no problem whatsoever for any of them besides this one.

And again, this particular passport works absolutely fine when I connect it to the top port.

Not a big deal at all, just something I noticed. This MacBook is still pretty much brand new. If this is a passport issue, I could easily purchase another one and just copy my files to the new one.

Anyone have any knowledge/similar scenario with this issue?
