MacBook M1 freezes when I plug something in a port

Computer freeze connecting to Thunderbolt / USB 4

I have a Macbook air M1 2020, with only the 2 Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports and a stereo jack.

When I plug something in a port the computer freeze and take several minutes to get to normal... What's the problem ???

BTW I really HATE the fact that Apple took off the magnetic port for charging, it saved many accidents in the past. A really BAD move to take out one of the best thing there was on your laptops :-(
