iPhone 11 charge heating

My iPhone 11 heats up immediately after I plug it to charging. I’m using the original cable and the 20w adapter comes with iPad 8th gen. Is it normal? (There is no heating at the adapter)

iPhone 11, iOS 14

It is normal as long as the phone does not display a message saying it is overheating and needs to cool off. If you are fast charging it the phone will be warmer than if you are using a lower capacity power source.

The general answer is the 2nd law of thermodynamics 😏
