Show Notification missing from Bluetooth options

Just bought a new/used vehicle with the chrysler uconnect system, Phone calls work fine but i can't get message notifications to work. Under bluetooth options for my uconnect on my iphone 11 pro max the show noticifications option does not appear at all, I've tried forgetting and repairing the device. Hard rebooting my iphone. Looked when it isn't connected to the vehicle. The option just isn't there. How can i fix this so i can at least get notified of a new message when driving so i know if i have to pull over or not.
