iPhone screen time has been bugged for over a week

progressive.com has been using up my screen time constantly. Even when I am sleeping and not on my phone. It is using the safari app, which I do not even use. I don’t even use progressive. Why is this happening and how can I make it stop?

Screen time recording 24hour usage So i typically only use my phone 3-4 hours a day, and screen time usually reflects this. But today I noticed the past week my screen time was at like 18 hours. In the screenshot, you can see it’s recording Safari as being on the screen 24/7. I set a 1 minute limit, and closed all tabs on Safari but it seems that it continues to just count up the hours. Why is this happening and how can I stop this from running? I consistently close apps after I use them, and I don’t even use Safari as my primary browser.

Screen Time Bugs Out And Keeps Counting When Phone Is Not Used. It has been happening for as long as I have been using Screen Time, and it usually goes on like this: 1) Open Twitter, or some other app, and click a link in it that opens Safari 2) Close Twitter, put phone away for the night. 3) Check Screen Time next morning, and it has counted 16 hours of you reading one website. To better demonstrate this, I have made a few screenshots. Jan9-Jan10 Jan13-Jan14 Jan15-Jan16 This BS has been happening for as long as I have been using screen time, and to be honest, it completely defeats the purpose of Screen Time feature. It happened across all IOS version I used on this phone; @AppleSupport on twitter suggested to clear cache and browsing data for Safari, that didn't help.

We'd like to help provide some guidance that may offer a solution for this high usage reported with Safari. We would suggest starting with a Restart your iPhone after making sure no apps are showing up in the App Switcher, and fulled closed. If this issue remains after, next Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
