Ipad Air getting hot at the right side

My Ipad is getting hot at the right side near the wireless charging area. I use the ipad for taking the notes and reading. I dont have any other apps running in the background.

when I take the notes with apple pencil and it gets hot. Initially, i thought it was due to my hand position. Later when i have the Ipad in horizontal way and take the notes, i dont see the heating effect near my hand position. I could still feel the ipad to get heat on the right side. I suspect it is probably due to the wireless charger...

is there a way to enable/disable the wireless charger for the Apple pencil.
