Mac Pro: Internet account password for Gmail.

my gmail account is asking for a password every time I try to send something out using Gmail. It refers me to my internet account under gmail and ask me to enter password. I can't remember my pw. My apple iPhone words fine. It is only on my Mac Pro. I have checked my password for gmail in my Google account and there is no problem. Tried using keychain but had no luck.
