I am using an external HDMI monitor and have configured it as primary not mirrored using the settings.

When I set the Dock on the bottom or right, it shows up as expected on the extended monitor at the bottom of the screen or on the right, but if I set it for left, it shows up on the built in Retina display (on the left). Looks like a bug to me.

I’m not sure it would be called a bug. It is working as designed. The OS will not allow the Dock to appear on a “seam” between displays.
