MacBook Air 2020 audio cut out tv only

Audio from built-in speakers suddenly cut out, returned a short while later, then disappeared for good. This happened while watching Apple TV right on the computer. Audio from all other websites still works. Settings correctly show output to built-in speakers, volume up, and no mute.
