How can I hide movies from the Songs list on Music?

I run a MacBook Pro 16" with Big Sur 11.2 and Music 1.1.3.3.

On Music, within the Library section, I have a "Music Videos" folder containing some movie files. That's fine. These movie files are listed on the Songs folder too (same files on the disk) , and I think this is wrong. If I have a folder called Songs, it should list songs only, and if I have a folder called "Music Videos", it should list videos only.

All the video files are nested within the folder

/Users/username/Music/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music/MyVideos/Unknown Album

which doesn't sound as a proper location. It should rather be something like

/Users/username/Music/Music/Videos/MyVideos/Unknown Album

Questions

1) How can I separate the songs from the movies and see only songs on the Songs Library folder, and only videos on the "Music Videos" folder?

2) Why can't I rename the "Music Videos" into "Videos"? I don't have music videos but just videos.

You should move any video files that you don't feel belong in your music library into the Automatically Add to TV folder in your TV app's media folder, then remove the entries from music leaving behind only legitimate music videos.

Your file path shows that you've migrated from an iTunes library. A native Big Sur library would be using /Users/username/Music/Music/Media as the media folder. You can, if you wish, reset the location and then consolidate to the new path.
