Glares on camera

Hi. I don’t know if it’s ok, but I’ve noticed that there are some light reflections on photos. Is it normal?

Hello rina-14!

From your post we see you are running into some trouble with reflections appearing in your photos when a light source is in them. Let's see if we can get this issue resolved! Do you have a case that covers the lens of the iPhone's camera? You may also want to check for any smudges and try cleaning them as well: Cleaning your iPhone.

If you think it’s annoying, if you buy a $100,000 professional video camera it will do the same thing, so that would be REALLY annoying! It’s called lens flare, and it will happen with any camera in the world that has a light source in or near the scene. It is caused by reflections of the light source between the elements of the lens. And what you have is an expensive pocket-sized computer with a $10 camera built in. BTW, it also happens with my $1,500 DSLR if there are light sources in the view finder.

Here’s a much longer explanation→https://photographylife.com/what-is-ghosting-and-flare/amp
