Updating airport express message from MUSIC
I try to get MUSIC to play to airport express station and it reads Updating airport and never ends.. any clues? I have restarted the airport base as suggested...

What model express and what firmware is it running?
Can you find the express in Airport Utility on your Mac? If not it certainly won't work for airplay.
Is the Express connected by ethernet or wireless?
Is it connected to another airport router or a third party?

Was the setup working before update to Big Sur?
It helps to know if you are using an old setup that has failed and what circumstances surround that failure.
Or is this attempting to use an Express in something totally new that has never been tried?
BUT do note .. since Big Sur issues abound. The firmware update on the Gen2 Express are not necessarily great for reliability. It may well be worth a downgrade to 7.6.9 or 7.6.8 just as a trial.
