I inherited an iMac at work, I need to upgrade iMovies but when I want to sign up with my Apple ID, the window has the old user's ID and wont let me erase it to write mine. She already signed out from her computer but mine is still showing her ID.

iMovie is a free application. Delete the application and download it using your Apple ID. You may have to sign out of the App Store/iTunes, restart, and then signing back in before you can download it again..
