Mac doesn't allow Printer and scanner.

I tried connecting my Canon LBP900 and Kodak Scan Mate i940, both the hardware did not connect. Connecting non apple devices has always been an issue with Mac. I have given up on installing drivers and softwares.

Kodak left the consumer printer/scanner business in Spring 2013. Thus no Big Sur driver support from Kodak. If the LBP 900 was even a Mac printer, Canon shows no driver support for it, nor is it in the current product lineup.

You should understand that Apple is not responsible for third-party device support, or the internal business decisions by those vendors to drop product support.

Hi,

Do you mean Canon LBP2900? If so, this is a printer needing a CAPT driver (available from Canon for Windows and Linux). We have seen a number of suggested workarounds for Mac, often involving third-party downloads from various Internet sites. Some sites have URLs similar to a printer manufacturer's name. Be careful! Use the official sites of a printer manufacturer.

If absolutely necessary, you could perhaps try a virtual machine running an appropriate version of Windows on the Mac.
