The other day I was browsing the Internet and I got a message saying my phone was hacked and was redirect to the App Store to down load a security app which I didn’t.. Should I be concerned that my phone really was hacked?

That was a spam message trying to get your credentials. You did the right thing. Just delete the message and move on.
