apps update problem

when I try to update the apps on my MacBook Pro the AppStore keep asking my for my login credentials without doing any updates. I just updated to Big Sur thinking it would have fixed the problem but did not work.

Logged into ID on mac, however, I cannot download or update apps. After trying to update apps, it tells me I need to log in. I do so and had to change the password. No big deal. After logging in with the new password, this pops up. Pressing the download doesn't do anything. This is all that pops up.

I cannot login to the App Store on my MAC but I am using the right ID and passwords? I recently got my MacBook Air reset and in doing so it logged me out of everything. I have an early 2014 MacBook Air. I can login Apple online and I did login to iCloud from my system preferences but when I try to login to the App Store it says my credentials are wrong and they are not. I have double and triple checked, reset my password, restarted my Mac and logged into my account on other apple products. It's only not letting me login to the App Store on my Mac... I need to download Catalina to download my photography editing systems for my business. So I have to be able to log in and download the update. This is driving me utterly insane.

The iMac App store keeps asking me for my previous apple credentials. I have signed out of my old account on my mac but when I try to update apps it asks me for the credentials of the previous account. How can I stop this madness?
