I bought a Lacie hard drive but the USB C cable doesn't fit in any port on my new MacBook Pro.

Hello TomJC1973,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like there are some concerns over ports not he MacBook Pro. We'll explain.

Depending on the cable that came with your external drive, you would use the USB-C ports on the MacBook Pro: Identify the ports on your Mac

If the cable included with your external drive is USB-C to USB-A, you would have to use an adapter: About the Apple USB-C to USB Adapter

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
