Can I set up 2 Apple IDs?

I have an iPod touch that I use for music for my business. For obvious reasons, I don't want all my personal stuff on there. Can I set up a separate Apple ID that I use to just sync music on the business iPod? Or, is there a way that I can only have selected playlists on the iPod and not have all my personal stuff on there?

iPod, iOS 14

There is no limit to how many Apple IDs you can create except the amount of email addresses you have. However, one Apple ID has no access to another Apple ID’s content except through Family Sharing. So your secondary Apple ID would need its own music purchases or be connected to your primary one via Family Sharing.

You can of course sync selected music playlists from iTunes on a computer, to an IPod regardless of Apple ID.

Or if using the Apple music subscription service, Family Sharing can let you share a family subscription with another Apple ID.

In any case, yes creating a secondary Apple ID would let you keep things separate.

Creating a secondary Appe ID? You can either do it, while setting up the iPod, or go to https://appleid.apple.com and scroll down to see the "Create Apple ID" option there. Click on it to create a new one.

Then log in with it on the iPod under Settings->Account, Settings->FaceTime and Settings->Messages if you want to use those services.

Then you can set up Family Sharing from one of your Apple devices, and invite the iPod's Apple ID to the Family Sharing Group.

Family Sharing can also let you manage the iPod, so apps cannot be downloaded or purchases made without your consent, or other apps accessed etc...

Not really. Each of the 4 main services (iCloud, iTunes & App Stores, Messages, FaceTime) on an iPod can be logged in to a different Apple ID, so that's a maximum of 4 different Apple IDs on any one device at any one time.

What you can't do is log in to more than one Apple ID at any one time to the same service.
