Can not send MMS message on ATT and Verizon, but can on Google Fi.
I have had ATT for years now, when i got my iphone 11 pro in 2019 i noticed i could not send a picture message to my mom, she has a android. After testing, i found that i can not send a mms to anyone, but can receive them. iMessage works just fine, and SMS works, but sending a MMS message (picture or group message to non iPhone users doesnt work). I opened 3 cases with ATT over the course of a year, always getting a escalation ticket, but then never hearing responses back. New sim, esim, re-provisioned line, reset of network, setting up iPhone from scratch, nothing worked. Got the iphone 12 pro and issue still persist. Since i dont always send MMS messages i forget about it until i cant, then have to use a work around (facebook or snap), not a huge deal. I was hoping when i upgraded to the iphone 12 pro it would go away. I did contact Apple sometime last year before upgrading to the iPhone 12 and all i remember was them looking at settings on phone but basically saying it was on my carriers end. Here recently i started a new job and they use txt to communicate more than teams like my previous job. And i cannot quickly send out info like i need to, i can send it via email and teams, but some of them dont really use those programs, so its a proccess. So i went looking for a diffrent carrier since ATT doesnt want to fix or get back with me on my issue. I decided to test out Google Fi to see if it would work, everything works great, but coverage in my small town is not existent. So i decided to try Verizon out, same issue on Verizon, everything but sending MMS will work, and coverage is better in my area than on Google Fi and ATT, but still cant send a MMS. Right now on my phone i have 3 lines. ATT as physical sim, Verizon and Google Fi as esim, I test with one line enabled and the other 2 disabled. ATT and Verizon cannot send the MMS but Google Fi can, Verizon support told me today that its a Apple ID issue and i need to contact them, which i will tomorrow just to see if they can do anything. Im not even going to mess with ATT troubleshooting or fixing my issue anymore, but Verizon Support did have me try the message+ app and it did work through that. So i wanted to check the Communiy before making a decision, has anyone had this issue and gotten it resolved? I dont feel like this is a Apple ID issue, but maybe i could be? Do i move service to Verizon and use the message+ app, or figure out how to make it work with ATT Line? Or go with Google Fi and just live with the lower coverage? I will be contacting Apple Support tomorrow when they open up, but any help or advice would greatly be appreciated. Side note, have 4 lines on ATT account, my line is the only one with issues. Moved my physical sim to wifes phone and it still cant send MMS.
