Option to set steps as move goal instead of calories.

I am ectomorph - simply put dont gain weight. I am 43 and weight 65kgs. Have been a iPhone user for 10 years and juts got my Apple Watch after many years of sporting a Fitbit along with a conventional watch.

1. My main goal is weight increase through lean muscle gain. So calorie burn as a main move goal is useless to me. Can I setup steps a s my main goal?

2. Also want to focus on light activity throughout the day so a customisable move goal would be appreciated

3. Still surprised how basic sleep tracking is. I am suing AutoSleep app, but it’s nowhere close to what Fitbit do natively. Hope to see sleep functionally improvement in OS 8

Steps has been proven to be an ineffective way of calculating health.

Caloric burn is what is used.

You have to types of calories that the watch calculates.

Resting and move.

Resting is what you use to exist. You get this no matter what you do...just breathing takes calories. Or sitting on the couch eating crisp and drinking beer. These are all resting calories.

Move calories are what you burn doing things. This is what you should be working towards.

I can go 10,000 steps and burn 500 calories or I can run the same and burn 900

Change the move goal to suit your needs.
