Macbook Pro's screen

I purchased a Macbook Pro with a Touch bar less than three months ago. This morning I noticed there is a crack on the edge of its screen for no clear reason. I am pretty certain that I didn't drop it and there hasn't been an accident to cause it. It is just odd.

I don't have Apple Care + and I can't afford to pay for a repair. Do you have any advice for me?

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I checked and yes, it is covered by 1-year limited warranty. "Your product is covered for eligible hardware repairs and service under Apple’s Limited Warranty". The thing is I also had a conversation with Apple on the phone and from the picture I shared with them, they suspected the crack was the result of accidental damage. I have no clear memory of such an accident! Nonetheless, do you know how much it would roughly cost me if I want to replace this piece? It is not the actual display. It's the black plastic bar on the edge of the display (please see attached) and if the replacing costs too much I can defo do live without it.

I'd appreciate your tips.
