Garage Band
I like the Guitar feature on iPad and would like to use it to record a few tracks on another recording that I am busy on on my iMac. Can this be done ?

Frederic337,
Thanks for clarifying what you're trying to accomplish with GarageBand on your iMac and iPad. We can provide some additional guidance.
"You can use Logic Remote to remotely control many workflow functions in GarageBand—project playback and navigation, recording, loading patches and plug-ins, mixing, and automation. You can also use Touch Instruments in Logic Remote to play software instruments in GarageBand and create custom layouts for the key commands you use most often." Have a look at this link to learn more:
Use Logic Remote to control GarageBand on Mac projects
With that said, you'll want to download Logic Remote from the App Store on your iPad to get started:
Take care!

Hi there Frederic337,
Thanks for joining us in Apple Support Communities! We understand you're asking how to add tracks to your iMac that were recorded using GarageBand your iPad. We're glad you're here, and we can help.
"You can import a GarageBand song created on another iPad or iPhone. Because GarageBand for Mac offers features and functionality not found in GarageBand for iPad, you can’t import a GarageBand for Mac song to GarageBand for iPad." Have a look at this link to learn more:
Share songs with GarageBand for iPad
Also, you can use iCloud to share projects with iOS devices. This link provides more information:
Use iCloud to share a project to an iOS device from GarageBand on Mac
We hope this information is helpful. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any more questions.
Cheers.
I don't think I explained my problem well. I want to use the Guitar feature on iPad while recording a track on Garage Band on my iMac as part of another song. . The iPad has a great guitar facility which doesn't appear on the iMac version. Is this possible ?
Many thanks Sparks9829. All sorted.
I mean 0829 !
