Cannot Connect to Big Sur Mac Mini

I have a home network happily connecting to each other (6 computers, most running different operating systems).

I just got Mac Mini, and now I cannot connect to it. Big Sur is up to date.

I can connect from the Mini to the other computers.

I can connect to it via sharing screen. (I use the admin credentials that ought to work with the network connection).

But all computers reject connection to it with the jiggling dialog box..

I have followed all the instructions in the KB on connecting to another computer.

I have tried connecting to it via my apple ID.

All I ever get is my public folder.

I'm out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

I've solved my own problem. I was inserting the admin username in the "Name" space. It required the name of the target's home folder. I am certain my other computers on the network accepted the admin username, but for some reason this one did not.
