Screenshot Problem in MacBook

After I screenshot a particular area on my mac., the dark screen leaves behind. This will be removed when I restart my laptop, but if I attempt to make a screenshot again, it will go back to the dark screen. Attached here is the sample view of my MacBook right now.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

What to Try:

Restart in Safe Mode:

In Safe Mode, login items do not open at login, certain preferences are set aside, and Broken system files are fixed, if existent. So, boot into it for 30 second, and restart, seen if you get the same error.

  1. Hold Down: shift key upon boot
  2. Log in: as same user
  3. Wait: 30 seconds
  4. Shut Down: the Mac
  5. Bootup: Normally
  6. Log in: as same user
  7. Take: a screenshot
  8. View: the results
