Can you share AirTags with family members?
Can two accounts track the same airtag? Can me and my wife track the same airtag if we are in the same family account?

If it were possible to share an AirTag, then it would be impossible to stop coercion. Someone in a domestic abuse situation could be made to share access to their AirTag and Apple has therefore prevented this.
Regrettably, the answer to everyone with a good reason to share an AirTag is the same solution that will work for anyone with a bad reason. Buy two AirTags.
True, it's more money, and you can imagine Apple is both glad about that and also figuring that the extra cash is an extra barrier to abusers. But the people arguing that you cannot share an AirTag also seem to unthinkingly assume you can't put two AirTags on an item." Source:

Why would they get alerts if you’re there?

agree. maybe iso 15 will update this...
Yep! +1
They only warn you if the tag is moving with you, and the owner is not also nearby. So no false alerts in your scenario, or for example on a bus with the owner riding also.
At least give an option to add/revoke share! Omg. I wish I knew it won’t share with family when I bought it. Now it’s on freeken eBay for some other sucker.
For my family situation, AirTags are virtually useless unless you can share them with others.
This makes sense. Hope it works next try.
I am intrigued tracking possibly a spouse without their knowledge ? Is this an actual device or able to be maneuver through iPhone it’s self

That would be very wrong. Don't do it.
including that link is a great move, many thanks 👍🏼
It would be nice for my husband and I to track the dog which has an AirTag. It looks like I’m the only ones who can monitor this activity.
sny dolutions would be great!
I hope this get’s on the devs’ radar screen. It’s almost impossible that even Tim Cook is not aware of this issue. So, Apple, let’s fix this!
I have done that. I have also heard that that a lot of those posts do not get read.
