It does not appear automatically. Assuming that you are talking about purchased music from iTunes....
On your husbands phone, launch the iTunes App. Tap more at the bottom of the screen. Then tap Purchased. In the next screen under the Family Purchases heading, tap on your name. Then tap on Music in the next screen. Tap on the artist that you want to download songs from. In the next screen you will see the songs with the download icon next to them. Tap the icon to download the song(s).
