Guitar on Logic is Mute with Software Monitor enabled

Whenever plugging in my guitar through the interface, the guitar sound won't come through anymore. The signal does go through and I turned off "Direct Monitor" and turned on "Software Monitor". I made sure the output isn't muted. I can only hear the clean guitar through the interface with the direct monitor on. I can't even play on old projects that used to record and play just fine. I'm using Scarlett Solo and Logic version 10.3.0. Thank you in advance!

I'm not familiar with that audio interface, but is there a setting on the interface to monitor the signal back coming Logic?

The sound/signal does arrive to Logic (volume bar moves), but I can't hear any sound unless I turn on "direct monitor" on my Scarlett Solo (then it only plays clean tone). No tracks are muted as far as I checked. "I" buttons are pressed too.

Are you saying the guitar signal from your Scarlett Solo doesn't "arrive"/record in Logic, or it records but you can't hear it during recording?

There is a light that lights up green/red when playing a plugged-in guitar, but I'm not sure if there's an interface specifically signalling its connection to Logic/software.
