iphone 12 text msg searching

I have a verizon 12 pro that I just got and now I cannot search text messages for a word or name or or or? What is up?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 14

Ok thanks. I erased and started over twice. Third time fixed it and all I did was not enable Siri on the restore step. That’s what fixed it. Was wireless the entire time.

It looks like you're having issues searching in your Messages app. If that's correct, let's try the following.

Use Messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

What happens when you attempt to search in Messages? Are you getting an error message of any sort?

Is this happening both on cellular data and Wi-Fi?

This will help start to narrow the issue down.
