Use iphone in car with USB entrance

I got a USB entrance in my car to connect to a phone and listen to music (with spotify). Every iphone user i know tried it and it worked. Only my iphone does charge, but the car doesn’t “read” my phone and it immediately gives the sign “ no songs”.

I got the Iphone XR with the latest updates.

I know its a setting in my phone , because with other iphones it does work. (They connect it with the same wire as I do, and the car says “reading” and than it displays their spotify songs) mine stays on “no songs” and no “reading”

can someone help me?:)

Hello manouk272! Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you're having trouble playing your music from Spotify through your car's stereo system. We'd like to look into this with you to see how we can help.

If you're using CarPlay with your iPhone, the following resource may help with ensuring that your iPhone and CarPlay is set up correctly: Use CarPlay with your iPhone

You'll want to make sure your country or region supports CarPlay and that your car, itself, supports CarPlay:

iOS and iPadOS Feature Availability

iOS - CarPlay - Available Models - Apple

If you're using another system other than CarPlay, or if you're using CarPlay in a vehicle that's not listed as one of those that are compatible, we'd recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of your stereo system to look into this further.

Make it a great day!
