I have a picture of my house and would like to see what it would like with a different color paint, or if I could change the color of the roof. Does anyone know if there are tools with iPhoto I could accomplish this with? ‘Markup’ has me very confused. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

For a single colour you could try the "Selective colour" tool in Photos for Mac.

  • Open the photo of your house in Edit mode.
  • Click "Selective Colour" and use the eye dropper tool to sample the colour of the wall or the roof.
  • Then adjust the Hue and Saturation slider to change the colour.

If you want to change more than one colour export the photo and reimport it.

For example, I changed the colour of the wall of this house by sampling the colour of the wall, then shifting the hue to Green and making it more saturated.

And here I made the roof red:

Which system version is running on your Mac? Your original post is showing "iPadOS 14". Do you have a system version with Photos for Mac installed on your Mac?

There's one tool that you can try: it's GraphicConverter. You can use it is its demo mode and it'll do what you want.

There's also Photoshop Elements for Mac. It's not free or has a demo but it's what I use. I used to have Photoshop but with 32 bit and its transition to subscription or very expensive single purchase I found PSE to do every thing I wanted.

I believe Afinity Photo will do what you want. It's very reasonable and has a free trial version.
