Dear All,
I recently upgraded to M1 Mac mini and first thing I noticed was this horizontal line of around 3-10 pixelated tiny squares appearing during login and post login. Once I start any application these disappears.
Should I return my Mac mini and get another one? Or this is a software bug and Apple is working on fixing it?

Yeah' I would test a different Premium Certified HDMI cable, before support has you jumping thru the hoops.

Thanks for looking into my query. I am using PHL 328E9Q Display (Philips 32 inch) connected by HDMI. This was working perfectly with my Intel i7 Mac mini 2018. I have tested the monitor with other computer and don't have any issue. Definitely not the problem with monitor.

I have raised a support ticket with Apple as it's still not even 30 days yet. I was running Big Sur on the 2018 Intel Mini. I came across few articles like this - https://www.macrumors.com/2021/02/21/pink-squares-external-display-m1-mac-mini/ where it is said that Apple is aware of this issue. I would also like to mention that this happens randomly. Sometimes after booting I don't see this issue. Also, I did not see this happening when I am using Logic. Final Cut or any application.

What display and how is it connected to the new Mac Mini?
I would be worried as well. What worked on the 2018 should work on the 2020 if both are running Big Sur.
If the 2018 was on Mojave or Catalina, then that could point to Big Sur.
