Can't sign into Snapchat on iPhone

Hello, i have a problem with my snapchat account is that everytime i try logging in from this specific phone, my account gets automatically locked but if i try logging in from any other device, like my old iphone for example, it works perfectly fine so what is the problem with my phone? Why won’t it let me log into snapchat? And im sure that i didnt install any third party apps or anything else.

Why are they blocking it because I am using vpn

Because VPN changes the reported location of your phone, frequently to another country. VPN is a Very Bad Thing to mess around with; it can cause many problems, far more problems than it solves. Something to think about→Don't use VPN services. · GitHub

There are two legitimate purposes for using VPN:

  • To allow access to a private network such as a school or business when you are not on site.
  • To allow access outside of a country with a repressive government that has restricted Internet access.

Any other use is risky, and can lead to problems like the one discussed in this thread. VPN disguises your location by making you appear to be somewhere else in the world. But you can’t control that “somewhere else”, and if it is in a location that an app isn’t approved for the app won’t work. Plus the fact that the provider of the VPN knows everything about you and your location, as well as what sites you access through the VPN. So you are totally dependent on the VPN provider’s honesty. As a start, if the VPN is free, DON’T USE IT. The provider has to make money somehow, and if you aren’t paying them then they are selling your private data to make money. But even those that charge can’t necessarily be trusted.

You don’t really need VPN when using public Wi-Fi, because all communications between your iPhone and the servers it accesses are end-to-end encrypted.

I wonder if this is tied to the issue Snapchat had with the app update in late June? I found several articles in a Google search saying Snapchat released an update in late June which caused iOS users to not be able to use the app at all. Snapchat says they have resolved the issue, but seems there are many who seem to believe they've all of the sudden been banned altogether. Seems coincidental.

It’s possible, but that problem caused the app to crash on launch. If the app launches but says the user is banned that’s a different issue. And it was fixed with an update 2 days later. The current version is 11.35.0.34, which was released on July 6. The version that fixed the crashing problem was 11.34.1.35, and the version that crashed was 11.34.0.35.

My snapchat is doing the same thing🤦🏽‍♀️, i was able to unlock my account and login on a different phone but once i tried logging into my snap on my personal phone it locked my account AGAIN. I even tried deleting my snapchat app for abt 3 days and when I downloaded it again it did the same thing. Ive already contacted snapchat services so many times.

no it’s literally the specific iphone. i bought a new phone and it works, it worked on my old phone too. but not the phone i was most recently using. i updated the snapchat for the bug fixes, it didn’t fix anything lol. i’m the 3rd person on here that found no answer and had to buy a new phone.

i mean it may be snapchat BUT once it does that on your phone, the phone won’t ever let you back on, not even with a different sim card, apple ID and phone number. or after being factory reset. idk it was weird tho.

Why did snap delete my account I woke up this morning and text 2 people and then 3 hours later it said that my username does not match and it says my girls phone it says the same thing when I try to make a new one it says I can’t but when I use my girls iPhone 13 it works just fine but when I use my iPhone 12 everything locks up and I’m high key mad about snap deleting my account for no reason I had pictures of my family and friends before they passed away and now I have no access to those pictures

If your iPhone happens to be used and the previous owner was permanently banned from Snapchat then Snapchat will ban the device IMEI itself, making it impossible to either create a new account or log into an existing one. As of right now Snapchat does not have any sort of support for this, and judging by Reddit posts in the past year it has become a huge problem with accounts being banned by their system if it remotely detects anything that might be breaking their Terms of Service. There are a couple change.org listing for this issue here that I recommend signing: https://chng.it/mf7pTcZRBH https://chng.it/mf7pTcZRBH

I’m sorry you found yourself in that situation! I wish you the best of luck!
