Instant close upon launch of .jar file

I am attempting to create a new server for Minecraft on my MacBook Pro, but whenever I attempt to open the server console by launching the file "minecraft_server.1.12.2.jar," java launches for a split second and then immediately closes. I checked my computer Console for any error messages and I saw that when I attempted to launch the file, the following message is stated:

(com.apple.xpc.launchd.domain.pid.java.5776): Failed to bootstrap path: path = /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk-16.0.1.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java, error = 2: No such file or directory

I have made numerous other servers without any obstacles previously. This is the first time I have had this error message. After extensive research, I could not find anything to help me fix this.

How do I fix this?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15
