I recently got a Nikon Z6ii and when I try to view the images it only comes up the NEF file and not the image. I never had any issues with any camera before. I’m using a 2011 iMac with Sierra. I wonder if anyone had came across this issue and any way around it.. also not viewing on photoshop or lightroom and I can’t get the newer versions of them also.
They do come up in Photo Mechanic

It’s not great .. I’m that used to using photo mechanic , then Lightroom and Photoshop for editing. Funny they show up in Photo Mechanic .
I was due an upgrade but was holding it off another year first .

Your OS is too old for raw support. You probably need Catalina or Big Sur.
This is what I was thinking and I can’t update them can I without getting a new iMac?

Other than the fact that I have heard bad things about it, you should be able to use CaptureNX - or whatever it is called. I am a Canon guy!
All up to date, though I am a lazy photographer and shoot JPEGs only. Saves a lot of grief.
