Hello Sister_ray,
We understand your Apple Watch shows a higher calorie count for walks instead of runs.
This can often happen if your personal information isn't up to date. For steps on how to keep your personal information up to date, please see how to Get the most accurate measurements using your Apple Watch.
We'd also recommend confirming all available software updates have been completed on your Apple Watch and companion iPhone. We've recently released iOS version 14.5, as well as watchOS version 7.4. If an update is needed on your iPhone, please be sure to create a current backup prior to updating. In addition to keeping your devices up to date, please be sure to check for app updates. These links can help:
Once you've updated your personal information, and if needed, updated to the latest versions of iOS and watchOS, we'd recommend using your Apple Watch as you normally would for at least 24-hours to see if you continue to experience the same behavior.
If you do still experience the same behavior, can you tell us if Set Automatically is enabled on your iPhone when you go to Settings > General > Date & Time? Can you also tell us if you've ever changed Set Automatically? If you have, can you tell us why and how often you turn Set Automatically on or off?
Cheers!
