iPhone running iOS 14 is not showing up on Windows 8.1 (I have iTunes 12.10.10.2)

Hi, when I connect my iPhone to my Windows 8.1 PC, I don't get a prompt on the iPhone to allow the device. The iPhone doesn't appear in Windows or on iTunes. I tried updating to the latest version of iTunes but it requires Windows 10. The iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes 12.10.10.2.

iPhone 6s, iOS 14

I solved the problem. Here's what I did in case you experience this too:

  1. Open Device Manager
  2. Uninstall the driver called libusb-win32 iPhone
  3. Disconnect and reconnect the iPhone
  4. It will now be detected and you can select Trust This Computer

This also works in Windows 10 as described in IPhone is not visible on Win 10 - Microsoft Community
