more ways to spot fake airpods?

i bought airpods from someone who said they were authentic and i trusted them, but they won’t connect to my phone and makes random beeps and makes the connecting sound at random times but will not connect to my phone. it pops up in the system as the airpods pro and that there’s still apple care and stuff on them so i was wondering if there was another way to spot a fake? it says assembled in china on the airpods on the back of the case.

I have seen a post with an image similar to yours, but when he sent them to Apple they refused to repair them because they said they were fake. Anybody wanting to make a good fake pair would put a real serial number on them and probably only Apple can tell when they actually receive them for service. You can try sending them in (and I'd be curious to know the result) but the only real way to be sure Airpods are not fake is to only buy them from an Apple authorized retailer. --> https://locate.apple.com/
