Disable Microphone in Home App for macOS

Hello!

I currently have the following setup:

• Logitech Circle View Camera Integrated into HomeKit
• macOS 11.3
• Mac mini (2018, Intel)
• Home App open on macOS

I would love to keep my Logitech Circle View live feed showing in the Home App, however, I run into the following issue.

The Logitech Circle View has a microphone function that allows me to say something into the Home app on iOS or macOS and have it played through the speaker on the camera. The problem is, as soon as I enlarge the image from the Logitech Circle View in the Home App, any other computer audio is decreased so that it doesn't interfere with transmission.

The interesting part, is that the decrease occurs prior to pressing the talk button, but when only streaming video.

The result of this means that I cannot have this running in the background while doing other activities on my computer.

My first thought was, OK, I can disable microphone access in System Preferences > Privacy and just entirely disable the microphone in the Home App. Turns out, that's not an option. The Home App doesn't require permission.

It also cannot be disabled within the camera, despite being able to disable Audio Recording in general:

Using the volume slider and muting the camera also is not a fix.

So... Does anyone have any other possible workarounds?

Ideas include:

• Terminal commands to disable the audio decrease function? (If it exists)
• Terminal command to mute audio from a specific app?
• App that can mute another app and bar it's access to microphone?
• Anything else?
