Hey,

If you want to know where your MacBook was bought, you will need to check the Model Number.

List of Model Number suffixes for different regions:

  • LL/A - the US and Canada
  • HN/A - Indian Subcontinent
  • E/A - Mexico
  • B/A - United Kingdom
  • D/A - Germany
  • F/A - France
  • J/A - Japan
  • CH - China
  • ZP/A - Southeast Asia
  • X/A - Australia and New Zealand.

To find out your Mac's country of origin, check the model number. In the ending, it will have one of the above words.

Co-respond them to the country

For example, MQD32HN/A is the model number of a MacBook Air, which has the ending HN/A, which means it was bought in the Indian Subcontinent.

I hope this helped. For more help, reply to this answer.

While staying away from speculative aspects, published stories

suggest sub-assembly manufacturers, had mostly been in China.

News of people visiting factories there, in several city locations,

are not recent; with their topic content, across the spectrum.

Various 'names' make parts, their subsidiaries had been suggested

to consider factories elsewhere; in part trade, issues are behind this.

(And there had 'been talks' of non- Asian locations for potential

sources of new production; different sections of Apple products.)

Models M1 MacBook /Air+/ Pro builds, (according to EveryMac.com

Apple, Mactracker database) can be said to be 'assembled in China'.

Subject to change. ~ Instead trying to not break ASC rules, I should

let you do your own homework; and then won't have to edit details

of what I've found online. ~ As a fellow user of Apple products, [yet

not employee] I've reached far to see: what I cannot re-post here.

..Unnecessary 'serial number' for recent M1 MB/Air, maybe edited..

[A search engine and dedicated time wastage should allow you to pull

together sufficient ideas, a patchwork of non-speculative bits into one.]
