I will reiterate that Apple pulled the 14.1 update from Software Update on 4/30 on my Cat MBP machine, and from what I read they pulled it from most Cat and Mojave machines. Luckily I had not yet updated, so I was able to notice the absent update that showed for days prior. If they had not pulled it, I would worry about a fix. But for those of you frustrated with the unbaked release, I'm guessing they will reissue next week. They rarely take fault with their releases, but when they pull them, it suggests so. Once again, I would recommend the temptation not to push that update button for a few days and scour these posts before actually updating. It shouldn't be like that... but it appears to be more and more frequent.

Thanks for info - just to add. I fall into the category of having Catalina and after doing what I thought was a Security update that had been out for quite awhile - found out that the Safari update had been tacked on. I stopped several people from installing the update. The worst part is that even updating to Big Sur does not solve. Many people like myself always wait but the way this was rolled out was inexcusable.

I've download Safari Technology Preview and it seem to be working fine and all pages load ok. However, I find this ridicule, first they released an update with such a big and obvious bug and second that they don't sort the issues within hours... Does anyone know if there is an official complaint portal? Apple is doing this more and more... everything year they keep released now OS and updates and every year their quality is worse and issues are bigger...for little or none real improvement for the user.

having the same issue, I am unable to sign in on some sites and most troublingly eBay, the site reloads on the home page but worst of all I can't log in and get "an error repeatedly occurred". tried everything, resetting smc etc, changing loads of settings, proxies, everything. disabling javascript or blocking all cookies might help but renders the browser unusable.

Yes, I am.The problem is a specific part of the site global.adsbexchange, the site itself is accessible. But when I want to go to the radar picture, the screen starts flashing and a message appears that something went wrong. It is the same in Firefox (88.0) but only on the iMac. In Safari on my iPhone and iPad everything goes smoothly, no problem (ios 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5).

The problem on my iMac (Catalina 10.15.7) started after upgrading Safari to 14.1, before updating there was no problem. It is strange that Firefox has the same problem.
