Problem repeatedly occurred" error in Safari 14.1

I have installed macos 11.3.1 on my MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2013). After this update, Safari became unusable. First I tried from Recovery to fix errors with S.O.S. without resolution. Then I reinstalled the operating system but the problem persists.

@jdmcmurtry I recalled some people on Big Sur had the same issue with Safari 14.1 that was released across multiple OSX version including Big Sur the last week of April. An OS independent release with a fix went out a week later.

Sorry - bad news: After installing the Safari update which should fix the problem, everything indeed seemed back to normal (which I also posted here), but yesterday the problem began to reappear: Content in my banking website frequently just disappears when I move the mouse over the content. The difference is that before the fix the content did not reappear at all until reloading the website, but now the content sometimes reappears again (typing random keys on the keyboard seems to help here). Nevertheless it keeps disappearing and a normal usage of the web page is nearly impossible. Currenty I'm using Chrome for my banking stuff.

Apple, please fix this!

Safari Version 14.1 (14611.1.21.161.7)

I have issues with linkedin, instacart and expedia where I get progress indicators without page loading after updating to Safari 14.1 on mac os mojave 10.14.6. Using inspect element window indicates the same error on all above mentioned websites which may or may not be relevant to the error.

I got the same response from apple support backup and reinstall or upgrade to big sur and the problem "may" get resolved.. Could you please tell me if reinstall in the above thread resolved issue on mac os mojave.I don't have a separate external drive for time machine backup and a manual backup may not be the optimal route to resolve this issue.

As a side note the above mentioned website render correctly on firefox 88 on same platform ruling out any network issues.

After installing Security Update 2021-3 Catalina and Safari 14.1.1 for macOS Catalina my problems with global.adsbexchange are the same. In Safari and Firefox the same problem occurs. No problems with the site on iPadOS 14.6, iOS 14.6 and macOS Big Sur 11.4.

Then you should hire a professional to sort out your issues.

It does indeed have something to do with Java script security validation. Turning this off prevents the issue, but this is a terrible workaround since nearly all web pages use it (including this one... I had to turn it back on to reply now).

The best solution is to stop using Safari, sadly.

Apple release yet another update to Safari to Version 14.1.1 (15611.2.7.1.6, 15611). on May 30th. Have you tried the latest update?

Any news on this? We are having this problem with our NGO page (https://brandnewbundestag.de) since the update.

reinstalling anything is not a solution as I can’t force users to do it before entering our page.

I have the same problem too. My IPad which I’m using has been having “repeated problems” in safari. Also my apps having been refreshing almost every time I leave the app. (The IPad os an Air 2 if anyone was wondering) hopefully I find an answer to this problem,because it’s getting kinda annoying having an app refreshing every time you use it or having it refreshed every 10 seconds.

I accessed your NGO site and did not have any issues clicking on various items. I have the latest release of Safari Version 14.1.1 (15611.2.7.1.6, 15611) on Catalina 10.15.7.

Can you provide steps to recreate the issue?

What is your version of OSX and Safari?

I have seen some postings by people with older versions of OSX still having issues.

I was able to refactor some web components with high performance requests. This leads to solving the issue. Seems like Safari was having trouble with the performance.

So end of the story is: Not having this issue any more.
