transfer from imac to MacBook pro

HI have a Imac 27" been using for years and now bought a MacBook pro - whats best way toe transfer everything to MacBook ? I have a icloud account and access to external hard drive .

Storage on MacBook is same so enough room to transfer everything .

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15
